Barney's Bend Bugle is published by Barney Lerten. This policy explains, in plain English, what information this site collects and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to the Daily or Breaking Blast, we store your email address, which blasts you picked, and your first and last name if you choose to share them — so the blasts can greet you by name.
• Comments. If you post a comment, we store the name you sign it with, the comment text and (optionally) your email address.
• Basic visit information. We keep simple counts of which stories get read (including a rough geographic region), so we know what readers care about. We don't track you across other websites.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. Ever. Your email address is used to send you the newsletters you asked for — nothing else.

Who else sees it

The Bugle runs on a web hosting platform, and newsletter delivery goes through an email service. Those providers process data only as needed to run the site and send the blasts.

Your choices

• Every blast includes an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
• Want to see, correct or delete the information we have about you? Email barneylerten@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
